Alfonso López Lajud is an associate of González Calvillo’s Litigation Practice Group since 2004 up to date; Mr. López is a lawyer specialized in civil, commercial, family and real estate controversies, before Federal and Local Courts of Mexico City and of different states of the Republic; he has participated in several amparo proceedings and commercial arbitrations, as well as matters of international judicial process cooperation.

The legal practice of Mr. Lopez include the attention of litigation and controversies in civil, commercial and family law matters, rendering of legal opinions in family law, real estate, international judicial process cooperation, comparative law, commercial arbitration procedures and amparo proceedings, among others.
Representative Legal Matters
• He has participated in the liquidation process of banking institutions, collaborating in the transfer of assets area, and coordinating real estate auctions, including due-diligences in connection with the legal status of such properties.
• He has been involved in commercial arbitration processes before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Canaco, as well as participated in enforcement procedures of arbitration awards before judicial authorities.
• He has represented clients in judicial procedures of civil, commercial and family law matters, in Mexico City and in several states of the Republic, including international judicial process cooperation and enforcement of foreign judgments in Mexico.
• He has also represented clients in judicial procedures being handled simultaneously in Mexico, United States of America and Canada.
• He has rendered legal opinions in several matters of family law and comparative law, estate procedures, minors’ subtraction procedures, analysis of civil and commercial agreements, among others.
• He has participated in due-diligences in connection with civil and commercial litigation.
Education and Experience
Mr. López obtained a J.D. degree from the Universidad Panamericana (Mexico City Campus) in March 2003, with an honorable mention in thesis and professional exam. Mr. López holds a specialization degree in translation of legal texts from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (2004). He was also an associate with Martínez, Algaba, Estrella, De Haro y Galván Duque, S.C. from 1998 to 2003, and collaborated with the Instituto para la Protección del Ahorro Bancario (IPAB) in the liquidation process of several banking institutions of the Financial Mexican System.
