Carlos M. Diez García is a partner of González Calvillo’s Corporate Practice. He has vast experience in sophisticated cross –border transactions which require also the knowledge of regulatory aspects among which the Foreign Investment Law is applicable. Mr. Diez has spent substantial amount of his time working in mergers and acquisitions related to the auto-parts industry that involved the knowledge of the NAFTA provisions applicable in this field of expertise.
Representative Legal Matters
• Represented GST Autoleather Inc. in the acquisition of all of the assets of CUINBA, S.A. de C.V. in respect of its involvement in the manufacture of leather to be sold to the auto-part industry.
• Counsel to Giffin Industries, Inc. in the formation of its painting facility located at San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
• Represented Argent International, Inc. in its association with various Mexican individuals to provide its car merchandise to the auto-part industry.
• Acted as external counsel to Android, Inc. in the leasing of certain real estate owned by Chrysler de México.

Mr. Diez holds a Mercantile Specialization Degree from the Universidad Panamericana (Mexico) and participated in Corporate Law, Tax Law and Civil Law courses from the same university. He is a teacher of Corporate Law at the Post-Graduate Courses from Universidad Panamericana (Mexico and Guadalajara).
