Practice Focus
Mr. Cortés professional experience includes different areas of the commercial and financial law. He has participated in a wide range of capital markets transactions; acquisitions and mergers; international joint ventures and cross-border transactions, as well as in different private equity and securitization transactions, representing all types of industrial, commercial and service companies and local and international financial institutions (banks, financial groups, brokerage firms, insurance companies and investment and retirement funds). He has acted as arbitrator, and client’s counsel in more than 160 arbitrations.

Academic Background
Professor of mercantile and financial law in different Mexican Universities and Law Schools.  Author of a number of law articles in different law journals and other specialized publications in Mexico and abroad.
