Alberto has more than 12 years of experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, and Private Equity and Fund Formation.

His practice is focused on advising national and international clients, including banks and companies (both private and public) regarding all kind of transactions such as bank loans, company acquisitions, private equity investments and other related matters; as well as the preparation of the respective contracts and the negotiation thereof.

He has extensive experience providing legal and business advice to multinational and Mexican companies in all kinds of domestic and cross-border transactions.

His international experience includes working as foreign associate at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP, New York, United States (2013-2014).


  • Represented Gentera in the acquisition of 36.8% of Concrédito, comprised of an investment of more than MXP$2.5 billion, which include an MXP$500 million Continued with the representation of Gentera in the conversion of said loan as well as an additional share acquisition, in order for Gentera to reach a 51% participation in Concrédito
  • Represented Bain Capital in their MXP$1.1 billion senior facility agreement for the acquisition of the Atento Group from Telefonica. Continue the representation of the Atento Group, for the refinancing of said loan
  • Represented Nacional Financiera, Bancomext and Banobras, Mexico’s National Development Banks, in the US$800 million project finance granted to Altán Redes for the Red Compartida telecoms project
  • Represented Gentera in the MXP$241 million sale of 100% of the shares issued by Pagos Intermex, a company dedicated to cross-border family remittances, in favor of Transnetwork
  • Represented Bancomext in a US$53 million senior secured and VAT financing for the development of hotel project in Mexico
  • Represented Fedrigoni, a subsidiary of Bain Capital, in the 100% share acquisition of Industrial Papelera Venus, a leading Mexican entity in the label stock production market.
